Folsom is a community In the truest sense of the word. It has its own Public Safety service with fast efficient responses from both Police and Fire departments. The city handles its own utilities including water and refuse services. A hazmat/recycling division helps residents and companies become more environmentally friendly. There is an active recreation department that offers events, classes, competitive leagues in basketball, soccer, swimming, pickleball, volleyball, and more for all ages.
