The district serves approximately 19,000 students across 20 schools, including 15 elementary schools, 3 middle schools, 2 high schools, and an adult school. Folsom students play as hard as they study

In 2011, Downbeat Magazine ranked Folsom High School’s Jazz Band as the No. 1 High School Big Band in the nation. The band has earned this honor eight times since 1993. The Folsom High Jazz Choir was also top-ranked in Downbeat Magazine for 14 consecutive years.
